Business Advising
You have made a great decision to pursue your business education at Scottsdale Community College! There are four types of degree options available:
Bachelor of Business Administration – Management (BBA): This 4-year bachelor's degree is designed to help you build a strong foundation across critical business areas while honing your advanced skills to prepare you for impactful leadership roles in strategic planning, organizational design, leadership development, and performance management.
Associate in Business - General Requirements (ABUS): This 2-year degree is designed to transfer to university business programs. It contains important foundational business courses and the Arizona General Education Curriculum for Business (AGEC-B), which is necessary to graduate with your bachelor degree from state universities.
Associate in Applied Science (AAS): This 2-year degree is designed to provide a depth of technical skills and expertise in a particular workforce-related area of study. It prepares you for entry-level employment or promotional opportunities across a variety of emphasis areas, including accounting, social media marketing, organizational management, culinary arts, and hospitality.
Certificate of Completion (CCL): CCLs are designed to help you learn foundational knowledge and gain practical skills in a specific discipline.

Bachelor of Business Administration - Management (BBA)
The BBA requires 120 credits in four main areas: General Education, Lower Division Business Requirements (courses with a 100/200 catalog number), Upper Division Business Requirements (courses with a 300/400 catalog number), and General Elective courses. The specific number of General Electives needed depends on whether you have transfer or any other courses already taken that do not meet general education or the specific BBA business requirements. Of the total 120 credits, 30 credits must be completed at Scottsdale Community College.

Associate in Business - General (ABUS)
The ABUS requires a minimum of 62 credits in four main areas: General Education, Required Business Courses, Elective Business Courses, and General Electives. Of the total credits, students must complete 15 at Scottsdale Community College.
