The average ratio of faculty to students in the classroom is 1 to 20. This matters because the quality of your interactions with instructors will impact your success in college. Faculty at SCC are focused on teaching and learning. Seventy-one percent of academic faculty have earned a masters degree, 31 percent have doctoral degrees, and all occupational faculty must meet strict educational and professional experience standards. Our faculty and staff ensure teaching and learning take place everywhere by reaching out through mentoring and student services to provide guidance and support to students.
