If you want to help people live better, safer, healthier lives, consider the Health Sciences Field of Interest (FOI).
Our Health Sciences degrees and certificates are designed to give you comprehensive training for health-related work in the hospital, healthcare, or exercise and fitness settings. In addition to preparing you for employment, the Health Sciences FOI also fully prepares you to transfer to a four-year program. So, whether you want to be a nurse, an EMT, a physical therapist, or a personal trainer, Maricopa Community Colleges' programs give you the flexibility you need to pursue your goals.
If you are ready to find the Health Sciences program that is right for you, select the option below that meets your current goals.
University Transfer and Associate Degrees
With the university transfer option, you can complete most of your
general education coursework at the Maricopa Community Colleges and have
guaranteed acceptance to one of our over 40 university and college
partners to complete your Bachelor degree.
There are other Associate of Applied Science degrees that have been
designed to provide seamless transfer into a bachelor program, but
acceptance is not guaranteed. The Associate degrees in this list give you
the opportunity for an in-depth study of your chosen field. If you decide
to move on to a four-year degree after graduation, you will need to work
with an advisor to confirm which classes will transfer, and acceptance is
not guaranteed.
Students at any Maricopa Community College may need to complete
courses at more than one of our colleges.
Certificates
A Certificate prepares you for entry-level work in your chosen field and
requires fewer classes than the Associate degree or university transfer
options. There are several types of certificates available, including
career, trade, and academic certificates.
Credits earned in a certificate program can often be used toward an
Associate degree. For more information, speak with an advisor.
