The Scottsdale Promise Program provides funding to support Scottsdale Community College students with scholarship opportunities and/or access to internships within select City of Scottsdale departments.
Eligibility
- Current Scottsdale residents or graduates from a high school within Scottsdale city limits at the time of application
- Qualifies for Arizona in-state (in-county) tuition
- Demonstrated and documented financial need as determined by FAFSA completion
- Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester at SCC, leading toward a degree or certificate program
Benefits
- Funding to support tuition, books, and course fees
- Free student support services:
- Dedicated orientation
- Academic advising
- Workshops, tutoring, counseling, food pantry, and other support services
- Access to career services, including: resume/cover letter preparation, connection to internships, etc.
- Access to service learning and other student engagement opportunities
- Can be renewed for up to four semesters (two years)
- May be used for an internship within the City of Scottsdale offices (if relevant to the degree/certificate program the student is pursuing)
