Scottsdale Community College (SCC) is excited to announce the launch of two new Financial Services programs designed to meet the increasing demand for skilled professionals in the financial sector.

The Maricopa Community Colleges Diversity Advisory Council recognizes the efforts of
Maricopa employees who integrate diversity, equity, inclusiveness, and engagement into our
educational mission.  Together we celebrate and share their successes to inspire and motivate
others to continue to build on these efforts.

Graduating students are invited to attend SCC’s special Grad Bash 2024, from 4:00 to
6:00 p.m., May 2, at Two Waters Circle.

Scottsdale Community College recently began hosting the Scottsdale Unified School District’s SCORE Program, which stands for Scottsdale Community Opportunities for Real-World Education. The program’s purpose is to provide hands-on work and educational experiences for neurodiverse individuals up to age 22.

While colleagues and coworkers spent their professional development days in conference centers and lecture halls, Scottsdale Community College (SCC) Professor Dr. Merry Wilson braved thirty-foot waves in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, testing waters for microplastics, measuring plankton concentrations, and sending sonar bouncing off the ocean floor.

Black History Month, celebrated each February, marks the annual celebration of achievements and contributions by African Americans. Scottsdale Community College (SCC) proudly celebrates Black History Month with several events supporting this year’s theme.

Now in its fifth year, the Girls Get IT conference takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Nov. 17, 2023, at Scottsdale Community College to introduce high school girls across the Valley to the many career possibilities in Information Technology (IT).
