Program Description
Students wishing to earn a bachelor’s degree in a business-related area or in computer information systems may take all their lower-division credits at Scottsdale Community College, earn an Associate in Business, and then transfer into a university to continue toward the bachelor’s degree. The 62-credit Associate of Business (ABUS) transfer degrees contain all the lower-division requirements to qualify you for a university business program.
This degree transfers into dozens of business majors at many universities, with special agreement with Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and the University of Arizona. Students wishing to major in computer information systems or data analytics at the university should follow the Associate of Business-Special Requirements (ABUS-SR), and students wishing to major in most other business areas (accounting, business administration, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, international business, management, marketing, sports management, supply chain management, etc.) should follow the Associate of Business-General Requirements (ABUS-GR).
Business Administration Fastrack: Business administration is a widely varied field that incorporates many types of entry-level management and planning careers. From major corporations to small businesses, every company needs skilled planners, managers, and administrators to succeed. There is an opportunity for you to impact day-to-day operations as well as long-term plans for the future.
The General Business program is designed to provide business training for various entry-level positions in business. The courses include an introduction to business concepts, accounting and computer principles, and legal issues related to business.
