Two women discussing about career services

Choosing a degree to pursue is an exciting and important step, but knowing how to turn your education into a career is just as important. That’s where Scottsdale Community College’s newly designed Career Services and Community Partnership Center comes in.

Located in the Library Building (LIB-463), the Career Services Center is a place where SCC students can explore career paths, prepare for job opportunities, and connect with local employers, all at no cost.

Students can explore the Career Services Center during Artie Palooza on March 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Artichokes can tour the new space, meet local employers, learn about internships and job opportunities, and receive a free professional headshot.

Whether you’re still figuring out what direction you want to take or getting ready to apply for your first professional job, Career Services offers practical support to help you move forward with confidence. Students can access a wide range of services, including resume and cover letter reviews, career coaching and planning, interview preparation, internship opportunities, and peruse a local job board with employer listings.

Career Services Manager Tawni Rachel says the new center is focused on helping students take meaningful steps toward their goals.

“We’re building more than a Career Center; we’re building a bridge between education and the workforce,” Rachel says. “This new center is a place where students can discover opportunities, build confidence, and take real steps toward the future they want.”

Employers attending include the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale, City of Scottsdale, Chick fil A, Dutch Bros, HonorHealth, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Police Department, Scottsdale/Paradise Valley YMCA, Shipspry, and Strategic Mission Critical.

Whether you're taking your first classes, preparing to graduate, or are an SCC alumni, Career Services is available to all Artichokes.

Students can learn more or explore internship opportunities at career services.
