Scottsdale Community College (SCC) is making it easier for students to turn the skills they love into opportunities for career advancement and leadership through its new Bridge2Bachelor’s initiative.

Bridge2Bachelor’s creates intentional pathways from SCC’s hands-on workforce programs into its Bachelor of Business Administration - Management (BBA) and other bachelor’s degree opportunities. Students can begin by developing specialized skills in an occupational field, earn a valuable associate degree along the way, and then continue their education toward a bachelor’s degree with a clear path forward. The initiative directly supports SCC’s ASPIRE 2026-2030 Strategic Plan priority of Innovative & Responsive Academic Offerings, which calls for expanding access to high-quality, future-focused programs and creating seamless pathways to college and career success.

And student interest shows the opportunity. SCC’s BBA welcomed 520 students in its inaugural Fall 2025 cohort, demonstrating strong demand for an affordable bachelor’s degree option that allows students to continue their education at SCC.

Students should not have to choose between learning a profession and earning a bachelor’s degree. A student who develops expertise in culinary arts, hospitality, interior design, architecture, equine science, or another specialized field may eventually want to lead a team, manage an organization, or build a business of their own. Bridge2Bachelor’s is designed to connect those ambitions.

Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts are among the first occupational programs being integrated into Bridge2Bachelor’s. Additional pathways are being developed in areas including Architectural Technology, Business, Data Analytics, Equine Science, and Interior Design. Through individualized advising and intentional course mapping, SCC is working to create pathways that allow students to build on what they have already learned rather than starting over as their educational goals grow.

Affordability is another important part of the model. Students can earn an occupational associate degree and continue through SCC’s BBA for a total tuition cost of less than $15,000, excluding books and fees. The result is a stackable pathway in which each step has value while keeping a bachelor’s degree within reach.

Bridge2Bachelor’s represents a larger shift in how SCC is thinking about academic programs. Rather than viewing workforce preparation, transfer, and bachelor’s education as separate destinations, SCC is connecting them so students have more options to continue moving forward.
