Scottsdale Community College is celebrating a talented group of student artists who were named winners in the 2026 Artists of Promise competition, an annual event that honors outstanding student work across all 10 Maricopa Community Colleges and spotlights a wide range of creative disciplines.
In addition to celebrating student achievement through the Artists of Promise gala, the event also features exhibitions that give winners the opportunity to display their work. This year’s winners reflect the skill, originality, and hard work happening across campus every day, and the event offers an exciting chance to see that burgeoning talent on display.
“We are incredibly proud of these SCC students and all they have accomplished,” said Dr. Eric Leshinskie, president of SCC. “To be recognized through Artists of Promise is a meaningful achievement, and it speaks to the talent, dedication, and creative spirit these students bring to their work. Their success is something our entire college can celebrate.”

The Artists of Promise program celebrates students across many artistic areas, including creative writing, dance, fashion, film, music, theatre, and visual arts. That creative spirit is also reflected in SCC’s fine and performing arts programs, where students are encouraged to explore their interests, develop their talents, and grow as artists in a supportive, hands-on learning environment.
Whether students are writing, performing, composing, designing, or creating, SCC offers opportunities to build both technical skills and confidence in their craft. The college’s fine and performing arts programs help students prepare for whatever comes next, whether that means continuing their education, pursuing creative careers, or simply deepening their connection to the arts.
