Scottsdale Community College (SCC) is spotlighting our Signature Programs as part of our new Strategic Plan – career-focused, high-quality academic offerings that represent distinctive and innovative areas of study at the college.
This effort to identify these programs supports SCC’s ASPIRE 2026–2030 Strategic Plan goal: Signature Program Enhancement. The College plans to invest in the promotion and operational support of programs that elevate student success and align with workforce demand.
What is a Signature Program at SCC? These are occupational education programs that stand out in quality, industry connection, or exclusivity across Arizona. Whether it's training in a commercial-grade kitchen or designing in a professional CAD lab, students in SCC’s Signature Programs gain the tools, experience, and mentorship needed to launch successful careers.
SCC ASPIRE Signature Program Highlights:
- Equine Science – The only comprehensive equine science degree in Arizona, offering hands-on experience at horse facilities.
- Culinary Arts – Accredited by the American Culinary Federation, students train in commercial kitchens and run a working restaurant alongside award-winning chefs.
- Interior Design – With one of the largest and most active Student Chapters of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) in the United States, this occupational program provides students the opportunity to work directly with clients in a professional environment each semester.
- Architectural Technology – Offers a rigorous blend of creative and technical instruction with seamless transfer to top architecture programs.
- School of Film+Theatre – Routinely recognized by industry leaders, including Variety magazine, as one of North America’s top film schools, this program offers professional-grade production facilities, mentoring by working artists, and an established track record of industry job placements.
- Hospitality and Tourism Management – Prepares students for diverse careers in Scottsdale’s thriving hospitality industry, from resorts to event planning.
- Recreation Management – A pathway to wellness and leadership through active, community-based learning in one of the nation’s fastest-growing fields.
- Business School – Home to SCC’s Bachelor of Business Administration degree and real-world learning that bridges classroom and career.
To increase the visibility and impact of these standout programs, SCC is planning to leverage our marketing, recruitment, and engagement strategies in a new, targeted way. Signature Programs are more than just a point of pride – they represent SCC’s commitment to preparing students for meaningful careers, while contributing to the vitality of our region.
In addition to our signature programs, SCC is proud to offer more than 100 degrees and 60 certificates of completion in diverse occupational and academic areas, all of which are accredited, high-quality offerings that meet the needs of our students and our surrounding communities.
