Campus Wildlife Walk

Enjoy a walk through the planted areas of campus to spot and learn about the wildlife we share this space with.

National Butterfly Count

September 27 | 8 am
Brown's Ranch Trailhead, McDowell Sonoran Preserve

In the fall and spring, CNUW joins a nationwide count to help monitor trends in butterfly populations. Moderate hiking, limited slots available for our students.

Service Learning Bee Bundles

October 3 | 10 am - 12 pm

Support our local pollinators and help CNUW build a stockpile of native bee homes to offer to the public. Register through Service Learning at SCC.

Monarch Tagging with the Southwest Monarch

Fall Bug Fest

Butterfly Wonderland Center Courtyard

Stop by and visit the CNUW table as we join the celebration of the bugs that play crucial roles in our ecosystem. Our students will be there to help showcase our native bugs.

Edible Plants of Campus Walk

Learn about local plants that can become a part of your diet throughout the year. We will cover how to recognize, harvest, and prepare delicacies that are in season, like prickly pear fruit.

Desert Discovery Day

Join CNUW for a fun-filled day of adventure and educational activities in a natural desert setting.

Service Learning Milkweed Planting

Help CNUW plant native milkweed on campus to support the Monarch butterflies that visit campus on their migration. Register through Service Learning at SCC.
