Title
Create a Coloring-Book Mandala in Photoshop

In this interactive workshop, you'll learn to use tools within Photoshop to create your own coloring-book-worthy mandala while learning how easy it is to create stunning designs in minutes. No drawing experience necessary.

Title
AI: Is it all that?

Artificial Intelligence is everywhere—from your phone’s predictive text to self-driving cars and medical diagnostics. But is it truly revolutionary, or just another tech buzzword? This interactive workshop peels back the hype to explore what AI really is, what it can (and can’t) do, and how it’s shaping our lives, industries, and futures.

Title
Introduction to Animation in Blender 3D

Each student will work with a set of Blender animation files, and this workshop will demonstrate some of the animation tricks that you can do in Blender 3D, a powerful, free, and open-source 2D/3D program.

Title
Excel Your Dream Day

How to use Excel to build a "Dream Day" budget. Students are asked to come up with activities they would plan if they had $1,000 to spend on a Dream Day. Activity: build a table of "Dream Day" activities along with the budget amount; total the amounts to make sure they do not exceed the budget; create a pie chart to visualize the budget for each activity.

Title
The Making of a Meme:

What makes a meme go viral? In this interactive workshop, students will explore what defines a meme, why some succeed while others fail, and how design choices impact readability and engagement. By redesigning cluttered posts using simple tools, they’ll learn how text size, contrast, and layout shape visual hierarchy. These skills not only unlock the secrets of meme culture but also connect directly to IT career pathways in social media, graphic design, and digital content strategy.

Title
Model Me This

Students will be introduced to 3D modeling and how it is used to create 3D printed objects.

Title
Data Detectives: Solving Mysteries with Numbers

Types of Analysis, Ethics and Bias, Tools for Data Analysis and Visualizations.

Title
Survivor: Project Moon Walk

This workshop is a high-stakes simulation designed to challenge participants in the core principles of project management: collaboration, innovation, and adaptive problem-solving. In this scenario, small groups of participants must work together to navigate a simulated lunar crisis. Tasked with reaching a designated rendezvous point for rescue, teams will face a series of unplanned constraints, including the loss of critical materials and resources. They must collaborate under the pressure of a strict timeline and a weight limit on what they can carry, forcing them to prioritize and make tough decisions.

Title
Entangling Your Future with Quantum Computing

Quantum Computing is not only here, but it is much more than an encryption problem. Join us as we explore some mind-boggling concepts that are used in Quantum Computing design and deployments today, what it may look like in the near future, and how you can prepare to get involved through a variety of courses at several Maricopa Community College campuses. Through hands-on activities, we will highlight superposition, qubits, entanglement, cryptography, programming, network engineering, and more. Get ready for the quantum future today!
