For Specific Learning Disabilities, the student must submit age appropriate written diagnostic report of specific learning disabilities that are based on appropriate, comprehensive, and current Psycho-Educational Evaluations that use adult-normed instruments.
For more information: Specific Learning Disabilities: A psycho-educational evaluation is needed for proper documentation.
If you do not have a current Psycho-Educational Evaluation, SCC does not offer such services. For your convenience we have attached a list of local psychologists who perform Psycho-Educational Evaluations.
List of Local Psychologists. The DRS Office and SCC do not endorse any of these psychologists. The purpose of the listing is to provide you with a list of some resources within the community that are known to the DRS Office and SCC.
*Keep in mind that the cost of these private assessments is the responsibility of the student and varies from approximately $300-$1000, based on the diagnostician and assessment battery. Health insurance companies rarely assist in funding these evaluations.
