Due to the SCC campus closure, we are unable to provide in‑person food pantry services at this time.

However, we are still accepting student requests for membership and are offering virtual food assistance (e-gift cards or food box delivery, for example) to currently enrolled students. Please complete the following membership request form: FIT Market Membership Form.

Students must be enrolled in the semester for which membership is requested.

Food insecurity

Are you frequently hungry with no money to buy food? Food insecurity can be defined as a lack of consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy lifestyle.

This can lead to poorer general health and higher levels of depression, anxiety, distress, anger and loneliness. In addition, it can negatively impact student performance in school.

Artie’s FIT Market was established to help hungry SCC students create greater food security, better health, and support them in their academic pursuits.

Getting started

Students who are interested in becoming a FIT Market member should follow these steps:

  1. Fill out and submit the FIT Market Membership Form, using your MEID@maricopa for your email address.
  2. Check your MEID@maricopa email and phone texts. You will hear from the SCC Hunger Team on next steps.
  3. Contact if you have any questions at all!
