Hotel Management

The Hospitality and Tourism/Hotel Management degree program is designed to prepare graduates for management careers in the hotel and resort industry. The program stresses written and oral communication, mathematical reasoning, business applications, and computer science. The curriculum is designed to provide a program that is well-rounded with a mix of business and life skills that are in demand with employers.

5086 Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Hospitality and Tourism / Hotel Management

All HRM program classes transfer in some capacity to in-state universities as well as other institutions around the country - this excludes developmental academic courses

  • Meeting Manager
  • Sales Management
  • Director of Human Resources
  • Food and Beverage Director
  • Enter the workforce

Representative job titles:

  • Hotel (Lodging) Managers $24.90+ per hour)
  • Restaurant Managers ($25.02+ per hour)

Employment of lodging managers is projected to grow 4 percent from 2016 to 2026, slower than the average for all occupations. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in hotel or hospitality management are expected to have the best job opportunities. Applicants can expect strong competition for most jobs. (BLS, 2018)
