Disc Jockey Techniques

Welcome to the nation’s first DJ program in higher education to offer a two-year degree or Certificate of Completion. Our program teaches DJ techniques for live performance (such as working a dance floor) and introduction to DJ music production formation in a state-of-the-art audio studio and computer lab. Students learn beat matching, scratching, production, promotion and more from faculty who are today’s top DJ professionals.

Transfer Options

Earn the two-year Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Live Disc Jockey Techniques, the 36-hour Certificate of Completion in Live Disc Jockey Techniques and/or transfer classes as electives to Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University or the University of Arizona. Many students combine their DJ knowledge with other disciplines, such as marketing, communications, Africana studies, wellness (workout mixes), hospitality, music therapy, art (dadaism), poetry (rap literature), and more.
