In addition to the above courses, the actor will be involved with a production selection in which he or she will be in rehearsal every day working on the student showcase. The showcase is a summation of the six weeks and will be a public performance where the actors and technicians have the opportunity to utilize the tools they have discovered within the course work.
There is ongoing student/teacher communication throughout the session. In addition, the faculty meets to evaluate each student’s progress and make recommendations for future direction. The student receives evaluations and official grades from all faculty members, consisting of class assignments, projects and attitude.
The SCT student is involved in classes and production work from 8:30am-6:00pm from Monday through Thursday and 9am-12pm on Friday. In addition, there are evening and weekend events, including rehearsals and public performances.
SCT is a demanding, practical program which requires serious commitment from all participants, to the exclusion of other full-time employment or classes for the duration of the program.
