Theatre Arts Productions
Mainstage public productions are offered throughout the year as part of the Theatre Arts program at SCC.
Dramas, comedies, classics, contemporary and musical productions are part of SCC’s repertory.
Actors are selected through open auditions, and any SCC student, full or part-time, day or evening, is eligible to participate.
Technicians, managers and student design positions are open to any SCC student. Applications are accepted for work in the areas of sets, lights, sound, props, costumes, makeup, house, box office, publicity and stage management.
THP 210AA Students can earn academic credit for their participation in play production by enrolling in THP 201AA. This 1-credit course c an be repeated 4 times. There are no books, papers, tests or class meetings!
Students earn their credit by working on the production and satisfactorily completing their production assignment. There are separate sections for actors and technicians, and all students work under faculty and staff supervision.
THP 201AA is recommended for participation in play production and transfers to state universities as a department elective.
ImageMakers Theatre Club Specific mainstage productions and student directed one-acts are sponsored by SCC’s Theatre Arts Club -- ImageMakers. Membership in ImageMakers is automatic by participating in Theatre Arts classes and productions. The purpose of ImageMakers is to participate, promote and support SCC Theatre Arts activities. 
Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival SCC is an active participant in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) which offers students additional opportunities for special recognition, awards, scholarships and professional networking.
