An introductory exploration into the unique and vital world of the theatre as both art and craft. Fundamentals of acting through physical, vocal and emotional expression, improvisation, monologue and scene work. Develop characterization skills in a workshop setting through group activities,culminating in class performance and scene study. Required for Theatre majors. No books, no tests, no papers----just college credit for working on SCC's mainstage productions. No experience necessary!! Enroll in either the ACTING or TECHNICAL section. Technical staff positions and crew workers, as well as actors, are chosen from this group. Required for Theatre Majors. Recommended for non-majors. No prerequisites. May be repeated up to 4 times. Students will be assigned to individual production labs requiring minimum 50 hours work. (Late starting class.) |
