A Note From The Director

     SCT offers an exciting opportunity for area acting students to come together in a special place of learning. There is no other conservatory program like it in Arizona. We are introducing students to Shakespeare along with other classics and new plays. This is both an aggressive and nurturing program that will benefit students at every level of acting. I promise you that after these six weeks of ?actor boot camp? you will never be the same!

In addition to the above courses, the actor will be involved in a production section, where the actor will be in rehearsal, every day, working on a student showcase. The showcase is the summation of the six weeks and will be a public performance, where the actor has the opportunity to utilize the tools they ave discovered within the course work.

Audition / Interviews

A personal audition and interview is required for all applicants. The audition must consist of two contrasting monologues, not to exceed four minutes combined.
Auditions by appointment only!  Appointments can be made after March 1, 2008.

Evaluation

There is an ongoing student / teacher communication throughout the session. In addition, the faculty meets to evaluate each student?s progress; also, to make any recommendations for future direction. The student receives evaluations and official grades from all faculty memebers, consisting of class assignments, projects and attitude.

Schedule

The SCT student is involved in classes and production work from 9:00 am through 6:00 pm, Monday  through Friday. In addition, there are evening and weekend events, including rehearsals and public performances.
The SCT is a demanding, practical program which requires serious commitment from all participants, to the exclusion of other full-time employment or classes, for the duration of the program.

Tuition / Fees

The total cost of tuition is $920.00. This includes 12 college credits at $65*/credit, a special conservatory fee of $125 and a $15 registration fee.
