Maricopa Enterprise ID (MEID)
Your Maricopa Enterprise ID (MEID) is a
ten-character, alpha-numeric username in addition to your student ID. The MEID is used for many
on-line self-service features in my.maricopa.edu such as registering for classes,
viewing and printing your schedule of classes, checking your financial aid,
making payments, checking grades, requesting transcripts and a whole lot
more! It is also used to access course management systems such as Blackboard.
Email Account
Maricopa Community College District provides all
students with a free account through Google (Gmail).
You will see your new email address in your My Maricopa student center.
The address will follow this format: <yourMEID>@maricopa.edu.
Using Blackboard
Blackboard is the online course management system used by
most instructors at SCC for online and hybrid courses, and
as a supplemental resource for traditional courses. Quick reference
guides are available, tailored for students.
Wireless Access
Bring your notebook computer on campus and hook up to
SCC’s wireless network. Use the same network login
information as for campus computer access in labs and
classrooms. The service requires an updated virus system
on your notebook.
SCC is piloting a new application that works with Facebook that enables you to interact with other students. You can choose to join organizations (clubs, athletics,
student service centers, etc.) where you can
communicate with other organization members, share photos, and stay connected. You can even access your class schedule. Click the link above and follow the sign-up instructions.
mySCC
mySCC is Scottsdale Community College’s new and exciting way to access a multitude of software applications, file storage – both on and off campus! Use mySCC on your Mac or PC for free access to MS Office Professional Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and several academic-specific software applications. You also have free file storage available. Use mySCC anywhere, anytime you have an Internet connection, even on campus! Watch mySCC on YouTube!
Using Campus Computers SCC students have free access to computers at several locations on campus. The Student TechCenter (IT100) provides Windows PCs and Macs, software, printing and technical support for all currently enrolled students. The Writing Center (LC379), in addition to its tutoring services, provides Windows computers for any student. The library (LB166) offers Windows computers for any student and there are other computer-based learning centers for students enrolled in specific subjects, as well.
Campus Network Account Scottsdale Community College will provide a local user account that will allow access to various campus resources including campus computers in the classroom, in computer labs, in the Library and at other satellite locations such as the Business Institute. Access to campus resources is also available via the wireless network or via MySCC.
