Thinking a future in politics might be something for you? Interested in becoming a more aware and involved member of your community? Then, Student Public Policy Forum might just be for you!
Another student opportunity for involvement is the Maricopa County Community Colleges'
Student Public Policy Forum. This new program allows two students from each Maricopa County Community College to receive a variety of educational experiences tied directly to civic awareness and involvement-at both local and national levels, including hands-on interaction with policy makers. Learning takes place through specialized workshops, guest speakers, leadership development, field trips, reflective journaling, networking opportunities, and, ultimately, engagement in the public policy process. The experience encourages you to become an educated and involved citizen.
Recruitment and selection take place in August and September each year, and the program runs the entire academic year. For more information, please make an appointment with the Director of Student Life & Leadership by calling (480) 423-6538.
