What is it?
The SCC Student Leadership Forum-known on campus as SLF-exists to preserve students' rights, serve students' needs, provide funding for student projects, and to serve as the official voice of the students. It's your student government! The SCC SLF serves as a foundation for unity, as well as a sense of community among students and student groups at SCC. Here, you will find opportunities for growth in leadership skills, involvement and new friends! You are then able to take these experiences and apply them to your duties as a student leader.

What do you do it?
As a student member of SLF, you learn valuable leadership skills, plan special projects, and serve as a representative of and to the SCC campus. You'll meet new people and gain new experiences. You'll work on committees and volunteer in our community. You'll change the lives of others, and you'll change your life. Most importantly, you'll do all this and more, and HAVE FUN doing it!

When do you do it?
SLF meets just about every Thursday during the academic year, 12-1 PM in SS-123. Plus, you can always come hang out with us in the Student Life & Leadership Office or at one of our special events- You're always welcome!

How do you get involved?
No worries - prior experience in student government isn't necessary, but you'd probably find it helpful. SLF is constantly looking for students that want to make a difference on campus and within the community. Each school year, we recruit for executive officers during August, and complete interviews and selections in early September.
If you'd like to get involved in SLF as an Executive Officer-chair, vice-chair, Public Relations manager, Special Events manager, treasurer or secretary - then please complete the attached application
Just bring this, along with a copy of your resume, to the Student Life & Leadership Office, in the Student Center, Rm. 185.
Where we only recruit for Executive Officers at the end end/or start of the school year, we always have room for Students-At-Large. SALs, as we call them, are your senators. They are the immediate contact to the student body, attend club meetings once a month and serve on project planning committees. To be a SAL, fill out the attached
application, and drop it off in the Student Life & Leadership Office.
You can get more information by calling us at (480) 423-6541, coming to one of our meetings or events, or stopping by the office!
