SCC Senior Adult Educational Program

WELCOME TO THE SENIOR ADULT EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

The SAE Program is a community of mature adults coming together in a stimulating, supportive and intellectual environment, supported by college facilities, faculty and staff.  Participants select courses based on personal interests.  Lifelong Learning continues in an atmosphere specifically designed to respect and enrich the experience and values of senior lifelong learners .

The Senior Program has been offering courses to the local community for over 20 years.  The Program focuses on individuals age 50+ but welcomes all ages. 

A wide range of courses is offered, calling on both the campus faculty and outside experts:  Arts, Cinema, Computers, Current Topics, Fitness, Languages, Literature, Self-development, Philosophy, Religions, Travel and others.  All are non-credit courses, with no grades or outside work required beyond reading the material.

CAMPUS & OFFICE LOCATION:
Take Exit #46 from Highway 101 Loop, Chaparral Road.  Turn east on Chaparral.  The College is on the north side of Chaparral.  Use parking entrance #1 or #2, parking lot C or D.  The Senior Adult Office is inside the Library Building.  Enter on the west side facing Highway 101, by the door with the sign, "Senior Adult Program" on large glass window.  Follow signs inside to the Office, Room LB-106C.
