Blackboard "Quick Start" Course Template
& Account Access

These Blackboard course templates are just waiting for you to dive in and explore all that they have to offer. They provide you with the opportunity to "quick start" your course using the Blackboard course management system. This information, and the examples, have been used successfully by many faculty members. The folders in which much of this information is contained are "hidden" from the students' view. They are only visible to you, as the instructor. When you are finished using the materials you want from the folders, you can leave them (still hidden) or delete them.
Using these "Quick Start" templates can save you valuable time, while still providing you with total freedom in your course design:

  • The templates contain pre-identified content areas. However, you can customize the templates in anyway you want. You are free to add all of your content, links, graphics, photos, animations, etc. to make it your very own.
  • Each content area displays "recommended content", as well as additional information about how to create that content.
  • "Quick Reference Guides" provide you with step-by-step information on HOW TO use each of the features in Blackboard to create your Blackboard course.
  • Instructions for using the materials in this template, as well as examples of the how you might use the materials are provided for each content area.
