Stimulus Generalization

The tendency for stimuli similar to the CS to also elicit a CR; with strong responses elicited by stimuli that closely resemble the CS, moderate responses elicited by stimuli that resemble the CS to a moderate degree, weak responses elicited by stimuli that somewhat resemble the CS, and no responses elicited by stimuli that do not resemble the CS.
