Reflex

An involuntary (automatic) and specific response to a specific stimulus.

A reflex is involuntary because it results from unnconscious mental processes initiated by the stimulus. Unconscious mental processes that result in involuntary cognitive, emotional, or behavioral responses are referred to as automatic processes.
