Assistant Sports Performance Coordinator

Coach Karash is a full time assistant in the sports performance and coditioning program at Scottsdale Community College. In this role he develops, and implements strength training and conditioning programs for all of the various sports teams competing at SCC. He is also responsible for the creation of diets, and nutritional information for all of our athletes.
Rick graduated from the University of Arizona obtaining bachelors degree in Health Education, with an emphasis on Exercise Science. While attending the U of A, Rick completed an internship at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in their exercise and human performance center. Upon leaving the University of Arizona, Karasch worked for the Major League Baseball and the Milwaukee Brewers in their minor league farm system, as a sports performance coach.
Coach Karasch is a certified Strength and Conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), as well as being certified by the USA Weightlifting Association. |
