MACROECONOMICS (ECN 211)
The five week summer session is very intense. Once the semester starts you will have assignments due each Thursday, 11:55pm.
EVENTS SCHEDULE
Monday, May 26 - BlackBoard site becomes available
To do:
- Login to BlackBoard - see below
- Buy textbook - see below
- Read: Chapter 5: GDP, Chapter 6: Business Cycles, and Chapter 7: Inflation
- At BlackBoard website go to the Orientation area: read items, scroll down, do what is asked of you.
- At BlackBoard website go to the Chapters area: check out the WHAT TO STUDY and EARN POINTS.
The graded assignments are always in the Earn Points area. Complete all assignments for Chapter 5: GDP, Chapter 6: Business Cycles, and Chapter 7: Inflation by Thursday, June 12, 11:55pm, mst.
Monday, June 2 - The Official First Day of Class
By now you should have taken care of the following tasks:
- BlackBoard Login
- Orientation - (at BlackBoard)
Thursday, June 12, 11:55 pm, mst: Chapter 5, 6 and 7 are due
BlackBoard takes all assignments down at exactly 11:55 pm. Any assignments not submitted by 11:55 will receive a grade of zero. Assignments due:
- Orientation
- Chapter 5: GDP
- Chapter 6: Business Cycles
- Chapter 7: Inflation
Friday, June 13, 12:05 am, mst: Chapters 10, 11 and 13 are available.
You will have one week to take care of the following chapters:
- Chapter 10: Aggregate Demand / Aggregate Supply
- Chapter 11: Fiscal Policy
- Chapter 13 Deficits
Thursday, June 19, 12:05 am, mst: Chapter 10, 11 and 13 are due at 11:55pm.

Please mark the events listed above in your calendar. After a week passes, we will not ever return to the previous week's assignments. The same pattern will follow throughout the semester. New material becomes available on BlackBoard each Friday, 12:05 am and is due the following Thursday, 11:55 pm.
