Take a voyage of discovery through the suspense-horror genre in literature and film. Explore Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and the short stories of Edgar Allen Poe and Stephen King. We’ll view black and white films and close with the Hitchcock masterpieces, “Vertigo,” “Psycho,” and “the Birds,” and ask the question, “Why are human beings so fascinated and awed by horrific situations?”
