Scottsdale, AZ (June 12, 2007) ? The 2007 Scottsdale Community College men's baseball team recently finished a successful campaign, both on the field and in the classroom.  Scottsdale finished the year with a record of 45-22, and finished third in the NJCAA Division II World Series.  The Artichokes won the Region 1, Division II Championship by defeating Mesa Community College in a best two of three series.  The Artichokes then won the 2007 Southwest District tournament, hosting Redlands Community College (Oklahoma) and Hesston College (Kansas).  With their win in the Southwest District tournament, the Artichokes earned the right to play in the NJCAA Division II World Series, held in Millington, Tennessee.
