SCC's 3rd Annual Student Art Exhibit

Scottsdale Community College Hosts 3rd Annual Student Art Exhibition Sunday, January 13, 2008

 

Scottsdale, AZ (December 13, 2007) ? Come experience an exciting collection of paintings, drawings, photography, glass art, and creative jewelry on display at Scottsdale Community College, 9000 E. Chaparral Rd.  The non-credit Art Exhibition will take place in the Desert Oasis Dining Room at the east end of campus, January 13, 2008 from 4-7pm.  Refreshments will be served, entertainment will be provided, and admission is free.

 

The hors d?oeuvres provided at the exhibit will include a sampling of some of the items students in our cooking classes learn to prepare.  

 

All of the students participating in the art exhibition have taken one or more of the over 40 different art classes offered by the noncredit program during 2007.  The classes include: Watercolor, Drawing Fundamentals, Life Drawing, Pastels, Painting Workshop, Plein Air Oil Painting, Colored Pencil, Photography, Beading, Wire Wrapping, and Stained Glass.

 

Artists in SCC?s non-credit art classes include working and retired professionals ? physicians, attorneys, CPAs, educators, a Chicago Tribune columnist, and even a world-famous architect (a disciple of Frank Lloyd Wright) who come together to discover the beauty that is art.
