Green Living Seminar at SCC

Operation Green and Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society at SCC present a Discussion of Green Living by two of Arizona?s Sustainability Design Experts

 

~Green Experts come to SCC on November 28?Prepare to be Enlightened!~

 

Scottsdale, AZ (November 20, 2007) ? Join us on Wednesday, November 28 at 6:30PM at Scottsdale Community College, 9000 E. Chaparral Rd, as two of Arizona?s sustainability design experts discuss the benefits of green living.  The presentation will be held in the Student Center Cafeteria and admission is free.

 

Mick Dalrymple, co-founder of a.k.a. Green, and Douglas Sydnor, founder of Douglas Sydnor Architect & Associates, will discuss topics such as:

  • Material selection
  • Energy Savings
  • Water conservation
  • Sustainability
  • Economics of green building
  • Solar design
  • Design strategies
  • Acoustics

 

Mick Dalrymple is the co-founder of a.k.a. Green (www.akagreen.com), the creator of the TV series Build It Green, helped to start the Arizona chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, and organized the Cinema Verde Sustainable Film Festival.  Douglas Sydnor is the founder of Douglas Sydnor Architect & Associates, Inc. (www.dsydnorarchitect.com), has over 30 years of award-winning projects, is a Scottsdale History Hall of Fame Inductee, and earned a master?s degree in Architecture from Harvard in 1977.
