l   Who am I?

I came to Scottsdale Community College in 1994 to teach Sociology full-time. I had taught sociology for seven years at Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute as well as short stints at the University of New Mexico, New Mexico State University, the University of Texas, El Paso, and El Paso Community College. I received my Ph.D. in 1985 and my dissertation was entitled, "The Role of Undocumented Workers in the Roofing Industry of Albuquerque, New Mexico: A Case Study."

I love teaching college students for many reasons. I believe that I have one of the best jobs in the world. Everyday is unique and each student is unique.

I am married and have two children, both boys: Andres and John Paul.
