| |
Yes. An Instructional Novell account is automatically created for Adjunct Faculty. For more information, see the Instructional Access section of the Network Access at SCC web page. |

How do I get a BlackBoard account for the course(s) I am teaching? |

BlackBoard accounts are automatically generated with the creation of a valid SCC MEMO (email) account. The MEMO form is available on the RIO HELPDESK SYSTEM. Select the "SCC Requests, Continuing Employees" or "SCC New Employee Entrance Requests". Under "IT Requests" select "MEMO (email)", fill in and submit.
Call the HelpDesk at (480) 423-6274, option #3 during normal business hours for additional assistance with BlackBoard and/or BlackBoard Master Course(s). |

What software is supported at SCC? |

The Open Computer Lab supports a number of applications.
In addition to those in the Open Computer Lab, SCC supports the following software packages:
- Adobe Acrobat
- BlackBoard
- Corporate Time Calendar
- FileMaker Pro
- MicroGrade
- Web CMS
Note: We currently do not support Netscape 6.x as it is not compatible with Netscape Mail (ldap). |

Yes. A selection of software is available for checkout at the Helpdesk - Media Center in LB-135.

MCCCD provides many resources for faculty to learn about technology. The MCLI at the District Office has trained instructional designers, hardware, software, and training materials. The SCC Ocotillo group is made up of faculty interested in instructional technology. |

Is there an Educational Discount on Internet Service? |
| |
Yes. We have a list of multiple vendors that offer Educational Discounts. More information is available on the ISP website.
Dialup access is available for full-time faculty and staff with permission of their supervisor. More information is available online at the SCC Remote Access Services site, including the request form. |

What if I lost something in the Open Computer Lab in BU-133? |

Ask for assistance at the front desk. If you lost a disk or pen/pencil, it may be at the front desk's Lost & Found (if it was turned in).
Any other item(s) found in the Open Computer Lab are automatically sent down to College Safety in the Library building. College Safety can also be reached at (480) 423-6175. |

I am a student and I do not know my username or forgot my password in order to log on to the computers via the Novell sign-in? |

The Open Computer Lab can assist you. You can go to BU-133 or call the Open Computer Lab at (480) 423-6261. Inform the lab technician that you need to find out your Novell student (or SRV1) account username or that you may have to have your password reset.
Note: You will need to provide your Student ID Number (or SS#). |
