What To Study

What To Study

Choosing ‘What To Study’ is one of the most important decisions you will make at Scottsdale Community College. At SCC, many students are enrolled in associate degree programs in areas such as Business, Applied Sciences, Languages and Fine Arts. Following the completion of a two-year associate degree, students from SCC either enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year institution to complete a bachelor’s degree. Most students planning to transfer attend educational institutions in Arizona and California, including Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and the university system in California.

SCC has also broadened opportunities to students to prepare for careers that do not require four-year degrees by offering over 23 different occupational programs including Nursing, CAD, Interior Design, Equine Science and Computer Information Systems. With the abundance of golf courses, resorts, and five-star hotels in the Scottsdale area, SCC’s quality programs in Hospitality and Tourism in the areas of Hotel and Restaurant Management, Golf Management and Culinary Arts attract students from around the world. In the Maricopa Institute for Arts & Entertainment Technology (MIAET), students learn the latest in film and TV production on state-of-the-art equipment.

SCC also offers an intensive English as a Second Language program with small classes taught by enthusiastic, qualified ESL teachers.

Please visit SCC's departments and programs web page for more information click here.
