Honors Travel

Every year the SCC Honors Program travels to two conferences.  In the Fall we travel to the National Collegiate Honors Council Conference and in the Spring we travel to the Western Regional Honors Council Conference.

Last November, Honors Student Ryan Lewis traveled with the Honors Coordinator and SCC Biology professor Dr. John Nagy to the 41st National Collegiate Honors Council Conference in Philadelphia.  There he presented the findings of the Honors Contract he worked on the previous semester in Dr. Nagy's class!  His presentation was titled "Mathematical Model of Avian Flu: The
Influence of Infection among Hospital Workers".

INVITATION

Nothing would please the Honors Program more than to have you travel (most expenses paid) to Denver for the 42nd National Collegiate Honors Council Conference.  The Conference will be held from October 31 to November 4, 2007.

Honors students who attend the conference will present their work either as a powerpoint presentation or using poster boards.

The Honors work you are doing this semester may be perfect content for the presentation.  Please let us know if you have questions!
