NOTE:  The deadline to apply to our program for Fall 2008 is Friday, August 29.

Eligibility Requirements

Presidents' Scholarship (for Recent High School Graduates)

The Presidents' Scholarship of $990.00 is available to recent graduates of Maricopa County high schools.

Students graduating High School in May/June may start the Presidents' Scholarship in the subsequent Fall semester (August) or the following Spring semester (January)
 
Students graduating High School in December may start the Presidents' Scholarship in the subsequent Spring semester (January) or the following Fall semester (August).

Scholarships are offered to students who graduated in the top 15% of his/her High School class during the 6th, 7th or 8th semesters (cumulative).  If below the 15% rank, if home-schooled, or if attending a non-accredited school, students may qualify by attaining Honors level scores on all three of Scottsdale Community College's placement tests as follows:

Fee Waiver Scholarships (for Continuing and Returning College Students)

Eligibility for continuing and returning college students is based on a cumulative college GPA of 3.25 in at least 12 credits of non-remedial (100 level or above) classes at Maricopa Community College.  Pass/fail credits do not count towards Honors eligibility.

Continuing College Students entering the Honors Program are eligible for the following fee waivers:

12 credit hours - $325
9-11 credit hours - $244
6-8 credit hours - $163
3-5 credit hours - $81
 

Graduating the Honors Program

Students in good standing in the Honors Program who are graduating from SCC and who have accumulated 15 credits in Honors classes in at least three disciplines, including any required Honors courses, may graduate from the Honors Program.
