The Fire Science Curriculum offers a variety of courses leading to both a certificate and degree in this specialized field. The most current FSC Certificates and Degrees are listed in the SCC 08-09 General Catalog. The Fire Science Technology curriculum is designed for students who desire advanced training as professional firefighters, basic preparation for a career in fire science or better understanding of fire hazards.

NEW!! FALL 2009
"Hybrid" Fire Academy Class
Will be offered at SCC for the Fall 2009 semester. The class meets 1 night per week in a classroom, 1 day per week at the off-site training facility and completes on-line assignments equivalent to 4 hrs. per week.
CLASS DATES: August 31, 2009 - December 18, 2009
CLASS MEETS: Mondays, 5:15p-9:00p (classroom)
Saturdays, 8:30a-5:30p (off-campus training site)
ONLINE for additional hours per week.
