US Ambassador of Chile Visits Scottsdale Community College
Scottsdale, AZ (April 29, 2008) – The US Ambassador of Chile, Mariano, Fernandez, visited Scottsdale Community College last week for a special luncheon in the Artichoke Grill in his honor. He was invited to SCC by Jose Velasco, Maricopa Community College District Director of International & Intercultural Education, to explore partnerships and learn about the Maricopa Community College System. Scottsdale Community College Nursing Program Grad Heads for Boot Camp
Scottsdale, AZ (April 16, 2008) – Scottsdale Community College Nursing program graduate Amy Kovach may not seem like the typical military recruit -- she is soft spoken, gentle, and introspective. Look a bit deeper, however, and one can see that thissoon-to-be Navy Nurse also has an intensity of purpose, inner strength, and commitment to service that not only make her a perfect fit as a nurse, but a perfect candidate as a US Naval Officer. Chancellor Glasper Selects Dr. Jan Gehler for SCC President

Russian Educators to Visit Scottsdale Community College on Monday, March 24

SCC’s Metamorphoses Takes Audience on an Intimate Journey into the Timeless World of Classic Mythology
Scottsdale, AZ (March 17, 2008) – “Bodies, I have in mind, and how they can change to assume new shapes – I ask the help of the gods, who know the trick: change me, and let me glimpse the secret…" (Ovid). The Roman poet, Ovid, opens his epic narrative poem, Metamorphoses – about the transformation of mythological Greek gods and the creation of the world, with this profound line. SCC’s Interior Design Students Provide Design Assistance and Needed Upgrades to Valley Domestic Violence Shelter
