Broaden Your World: Learn Another Language 

The World Languages Department is proud to offer a variety of languages to meet the university degree requirements and/or to provide individuals with the opportunity to study another language and culture of interest to them.  We provide learners with small classes with highly qualified professors, indiviualized help, and free tutoring services.

What Types Of Courses Are Available?

 

In most of our languages we offer two types or tracks of courses;

the degree transfer courses and the conversational courses.  Many of our students take both degree transfer and conversational classes consecutively or concurrently.

 

Which Courses Satisfy The Language Requirements For A University Degree?

The degree transfer language classes includes courses numbered 101 and 102 for first year courses, 111 which is  a 1st year review course, and 201 and 202 for second year courses.

Classes And Locations Available To Meet Your Needs

Classes are held day and evening on the SCC campus. Arrangements can also be made to offer classes off-campus at a business location if there are enough interested individuals at that facility.
