After more than 30 years of musical excellence, The Scottsdale Community
College A Cappella Choir is a fixture of the Greater Phoenix arts community.
Under Music Director Dr. Steve Meredith, the choir has performed throughout
Arizona and in major tours to the East and West coasts, including performances
at Carnegie Hall, the National Cathedral and at the Music in the Mountains
Festival, where they were awarded a 1999 Telly Award for their performance
of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. Choir members have been featured
at the National MENC convention, local ACDA and AMEA events and on the
soundtracks of several TV, film and dance projects. In 2005-2006, the
choir will be part of the inaugural performances of the Mesa Arts Center
(Carmina Burana) and the 250th anniversary commemoration of Mozart’s
birth in Salzburg, Austria.
