Graphic Design & Computer Arts courses are intended to develop problem solving skills with a firm grounding in the fundamentals of traditional methods of layout, design, typography and page composition for advertising, sales promotion and public relations class assignments. With the understanding of traditional methods, the student can approach graphic design with the understanding that the computer is a logical extension of the visual communication skills developed in the foundation courses. Students begin their exploration of computer graphic art with an introduction to the prominent photo imaging, computer illustration and publishing software programs which comprise the industry standard for prints, digital art & web design media.
