Katherine Atwell Herbert, (B.A., M.A. Arizona State University, University of Southern California) is the author of: Writing Scripts Hollywood Will Love ('94, 2nd Ed. ‘00), Selling Scripts to Hollywood ('99), and The Perfect Screenplay, Writing It And Selling It (06), all published by Allworth Press, NYC.

She spent ten years in the film industry in Los Angeles where she worked as a development director for a production company at MGM Television, as a script analyst for such companies as Viacom-Showtime, Fox, TNT, Light Storm, and Multimedia. She's completed several screenplays and episodes for Trial By Jury, Murder She Wrote and Quantum Leap.

Katherine’s work also includes freelancing for national magazines such as Creative Screenwriting, Movie News, Teen, Good Housekeeping, Young Miss, and Design Source, as well as reviewing books for the Los Angeles Daily News, and writing for The Arizona Republic, and the Scottsdale Tribune.

Included in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Entertainment, Who's Who of American Women, and Who's Who in the West, she has also won various state and national awards for her writing.
