Scottsdale Community College is dedicated to helping you learn English.
Scottsdale Community College offers English classes for all levels. If you are a beginner, there are classes which will give you the basic skills needed everyday. If you are an intermediate student, there are classes which will assist you to continue progressing with speaking, reading and writing. If you are an advanced speaker of English, there are classes designed to help you continue your education, successfully complete an AA degree, and eventually a bachelor's degree.

What will you do?
You will be placed according to your language ability. You may study as much as three to five hours per day by taking a block of four classes. The classes are sixteen weeks long and prepare you for the next academic level. You will study the following skills in all four blocks.
- Listening and speaking
- Phonetics and spelling
- Grammar and writing
- Reading
- Vocabulary
Financial Aid
Various financial aid programs may be able to assist you in paying all or part of the costs at Scottsdale Community College. There are also programs that assist students in buying books. Scholarships are also available. The Student Services Office has information and will assist you.
