Which route should I take?
You should know that there are three (3) different "routes", or delivery methods, for courses offered at SCC. Below you will find a description of each:
- Face to Face
In this type of class you are traveling the same route as other students at the same time in the same vehicle. The route is planned out ahead of time with schedules side trips along the way. Click here to review the list of skills needed to succeed in this type of class.
- Online
In this type of class you are traveling the same route as other students at the same time, but driving your own vehicle. The route is planned out ahead of time with scheduled side trips along the way. Click here to review the list of skills needed to succeed in this type of class.
- Hybrid
In this type of class you are traveling the same route as other students at the same time. Most of the time you will be traveling with other students in the same vehicle; but occasionally you will travel in your own vehicle. All students still follow the planned route with some flexibility to make the side trips on your own schedule. Click here to review the list of skills needed to succeed in this type of class.
How do I decide which is the best route to travel?
When planning your road trip, you gather information along the way to help you make a decision. This web site should have provided you with an overview of the different delivery methods available at SCC. Before making your final decision, we recommend taking the E-Learning Readiness Survey. This short survey will help you make the best choice when deciding on a route that suites you best.
