The Navigation Menu will always be located on the left side of your screen and will always be comprised of buttons or text links. Each button in the Navigation Menu will take you to various content areas of your course.

Be aware that the shape and color of the buttons will vary from course to course. In addition, not all instructors will choose to use all the buttons; however, the content within each button will remain the same.

The following image gives an overview of what is contained within each navigation button that you might find inside your course. You should review all the content areas of your course and refer specific questions regarding content to your instructor.

At any time, you can look at the top of the screen to view the Breadcrumb Menu to see where you are in the course, as well as where you have been. The image below is an example of this "Breadcrumb Menu". Like the breadcrumbs Hansel and Gretel left in the forest so they could retrace their steps, these "electronic breadcrumbs" will always provide you with information on your location. In this image, all underlined text are hyperlinks that you can click to retrace your steps within the course.

You may also use your browser's Back and Forward buttons to navigate from page to page within your course as well.
