Next Assignment

Due August 31:  Complete homework for sections 1.2 and 1.3.  Read Sections 1.4 and 1.5

Due September 2:  Complete homework for 1.4 and 1.5.  Also 1.7 (Read First) there are no 1.6 (Read First) problems but you should read it anyway!  Finish side two of the handout for section 1.4.

Due September 9:  Complete homework for 1.6, 1.7 (Read First) and 1.8 (Read First).  Finish finding the equations for the 2 polynomials and 2 rational functions we didn't get to.

Due September 14:  Exam 1.  Complete all the homework from 1.1 - 1.8.  I will pick around 10 problems from your homework for the exam.  We can answer questions from 1.7 and 1.8 before the exam if need be.

Due September 16:  Read Sections 2.1 and 2.2.

Due September 21:  Read Sections 2.3 and 2.4 compleing (Read First) problems.  Also complete the homework for 2.1 and 2.2.

Due September 23:  Complete the homework for section 2.3.  Read Sections 2.4 and 2.5 completing the Read First problems.  I'm sorry I was sick.  It came on very suddenly.  You will have your exams back Wednesday.

Due September 28:  Complete the homework for section 2.4 and finish the handout from class.  Read sections 2.5 and 2.6 and complete the Read First problems.  Test 1 corrections due September 30.

Due September 30:  Complete the homework for sections 2.5 and 2.6 and finish the handout from 2.6 (if you need the handout, send me an email).  Also read sections 3.1 and 3.2 and compelte the Read First problems.

Due October 5:  Complete the homework for sections 3.1 and 3.1.  Also, read sections 3.3 and 3.4 and complete the Read First problems now listed.

Due October 7:  Complete homework for section 3.3.  Also, read sections 3.4 and 3.5 and complete the Read First problems now listed.  Work at take home quiz and bring in what you finished in an hour's time.

October 12:  Complete homwork for section 3.4 and handout for 3.5 (email Patricia if you need the handout).  Read 3.6 and 3.7 and do Read First problems.  Also, try to actually complete a solution for 3.3, # 54.

Due October 14:  Complete homework for sections 3.5 and 3.6.  Read 3.7 and 3.9 and do Read First problems if there are any listed. 

October 19:  Compete homework for sections 3.7 and 3.9.  Finish the second problem from the 3.9 handout and complete the Gateway Practice.  Look for solutions to take home quiz 2 coming soon.

October 26:  Read sections 4.1 and 4.3!

October 28:  Complete the homework for 4.1 and 4.3.  Read section 4.2 and complete the Read First problems.

November 2:  Complete the homework for 4.2 and 4.3.  Read section 4.4 and complete the Read First problems.

November 4:  Complete the homework from 4.3 and 4.4.  Read section 4.6 and complete the Read First problems.  Finish the Statue of Libery problem from the 4.4 handout.

November 9:  Complete the homework from 4.6.  Test corrections due today as well (non-gateway portion). 

November 16:  Study for Test 3 (chapter 4 only) and the Gateway.  Here is the review to the Gateway:  Click here.

November 23:  Complete homework from 5.1 and 5.2 as well as the Read First problems from 5.3 and 5.4. 

November 25:  Complete homework from 5.3 and 5.4 as well as the Read First problems from 6.1 and 6.2.  Ask questions regarding the take home exam which is due Monday.

November 30:  Complete homework for 6.1 and 6.2.  Take home exam is due today as well.  Read section 6.4 and 6.5 and complete Read First problems.  We are skipping 6.3.

December 2:  Complete homework for 6.4 and 6.5.  Gateway 3 people, please complete the problems below or you cannot take the exam!!
