Objective:
Upon completion of this
project you should be able to discuss with other professionals the use
of networks and in particular the use of the Internet as a research tool
for hospitality marketing. The particular domain that we will use
for this project include: sales, marketing and communications. The
hospitality industry is rapidly adapting to the internet to do business,
and those who understand how customers use it will be the winners. After
completion of this project you should be able to write about networks and
the Internet and its role in the hospitality industry.

Description:
Your task with this project
will will be to find five (5) hospitality internet sites from either the
lodging or foodservice industries and evaluate the quality of their efforts
in using the Internet as a business tool. In the resource section of this
assignment you will find a number of relevant site listings. Use
them or you can find your own. If you find any good sites not listed,
print off a page with the site address listed for extra credit.

Format:
As you select a site, evaluate
it using the below listed criteria. Make a list of observations about
each site and write them down before continuing to the next site.
It is recommended that you use the assignment form
for this task. You will need to print out a page for each site you
review. Please print out the first page of each site and make
your observations on the work sheet.

by site - what are they trying to do? Does it work?

Compare this site to others
that are similar - Does it stand up to competition? List the strengths
and weaknesses of the site.
