Insurance

Are you interested in making a difference in a service-oriented career that is rich in employment and advancement opportunities? If so, consider enrolling in the Insurance program to begin a career in insurance or risk management. To get your foot in the door, you must possess the skills that insurance and risk management companies are looking for — communication, technology, problem-solving, research, analytics, and organizational skills — and our Insurance program can help you get there. This program will prepare you for a career in insurance — as an appraiser, underwriter, adjuster, or sales agent. Other possible careers include risk management specialist or industrial safety or health engineer.

Our experienced instructors will teach you the fundamentals of the insurance industry, principles of property and liability insurance, health, life, personal, and commercial insurance, and risk management. You will also learn effective techniques for planning and organizing personal and business insurance strategies and developing the strong critical thinking, leadership, and communication skills necessary for being successful in the insurance or risk management industries.
